Resumen : | In this paper I examine the causal impact of having a girlfriend on academic performance. Using cross-sectional data from surveys to Universidad de San Andrés male students from second to fourth year I found some evidence that being involved in a relationship improves academic performance, although results are not always statistically significant. The instruments were selected using students’ physical characteristics based on evolutionary and mate selection theories. |
