Abstract
Este reporte analiza el estado actual y las perspectivas del uso de la inteligencia artificial generativa en el Poder Judicial de la Federación en México. Se parte de definiciones internacionales estandarizadas (OCDE y UE) para conceptualizar la IA, y se emplea una metodología cualitativa con apoyo cuantitativo, a partir de la revisión documental, la realización de entrevistas semiestructuradas y la aplicación de cuestionarios a funcionarios del Poder Judicial. El estudio se enfoca en el ámbito federal debido a su relevancia institucional y normativa, y considera el impacto de la reciente reforma constitucional de 2024 que transforma profundamente la estructura del Poder Judicial, genera incertidumbre sobre su independencia e imparcialidad y podría condicionar la adopción de tecnologías emergentes.
This report analyzes the current status and prospects for the use of generative artificial intelligence in the Mexican Federal Judiciary. It is based on standardized international definitions (OECD and EU) to conceptualize AI, and uses a qualitative methodology with quantitative support based on document review, semi-structured interviews, and questionnaires administered to officials of the Judiciary. The study focuses on the federal level due to its institutional and regulatory relevance, and considers the impact of the recent constitutional reform of 2024, which profoundly transforms the structure of the judiciary, creates uncertainty about its independence and impartiality, and could condition the adoption of emerging technologies.
